Job Description: | This position is required to lead and execute the full aspects of treasury solution testing from Test Strategy including Test Resource Management, Test Plan Schedule Creation, End to End test cases preparation, test environment and test data set-up, test execution, test progress tracking/reporting, defect management and stake holder management Roles and Responsibilities: This role will work closely with the client Business Units, and Product teams to drive quality testing. The role needs to lead and manage the testing processes and procedures, test case design, test case construction, test case execution, capturing test results, documenting defects and test coverage analysis. The role is also required to lead the implementation and evolvement of testing framework, measure and report on the success metrics, grow the team’s knowledge in the application of testing tools/process to meet the testing mandate. Responsibilities: 1. Process & Planning i. Develop, explain and lead the overall Test Strategy & Test Plan for treasury system implementation project ii. Work with the Project Managers to define the testing scope, budget, timeline & resources iii. Review and sign-off on Test Scenarios (across SIT, UAT) and able to communicate the rationale for the test scenarios iv. Verify the quality of the detailed requirements and drive the testing team to develop comprehensive Test Scripts. v. Continuous improvement of the testing methodology vi. Carry out tasks in accordance with the Quality Engineering Assurance framework which includes establishing and tracking quality assurance metrics vii. Perform Test kick-off meetings with the testing teams involved to discuss the scope of the phases/project sprints, chart out testing process steps and identify resource requirements. viii. Identify Lessons Learned together with Best Practices and share it on the common knowledge repository. This is to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to avoid similar issues in the next release 2. Execution i. Participate in planning (E.g. to identify key test types, testing stakeholders, tools and environment requirements) and other sessions (E.g. an agile scrum team environment, by updating the team on progress, advise of roadblocks, and collaborate with multiple team members as appropriate). ii. Accountable for ensuring proper review and sign-off by the right parties iii. Review and approve the completeness and quality of test scripts (UAT, SIT) developed by the testing team iv. Review and approve test scripts for all new features and maintain end-to-end test scripts to drive quality that meets business and technical requirements. v. Accountable for the timely execution of the test scripts and the accurate documentation of the test results. vi. Oversee the defects logging, re-testing & closure of defects. vii. Analyze bugs and errors found during test execution, log and document bugs in the tracking system viii. Propose and provide rationale for test scripts that should be automated ix. Implement processes to update the automated test scripts x. Develop the business cases for test automation xi. Cover testers’ responsibilities if necessary xii. Responsible for the timely completion of quality testing within the project timeline and free from defects and meeting the company’s standards and procedures. xiii. Building and maintaining the documentation on testing process, to ensure the reusability and compliance with standards. xiv. Review and approve the test results 3. Environment Setup i. Plan and work with IT to design and populate the test environments with the right test data ii. Liaise with IT to shake down the Test environments before the start of testing 4. Reporting i. Provide timely reports to the project managers and project stakeholders on testing progress, issues faced, etc. ii. Report Test Status and Risk Management by conducting Test Status meeting with stakeholders to update the test progress, risks and issues on an ad-hoc, daily, weekly and monthly basis as per the project requirements. iii. Provide dashboards on all testing progress and metrices. 5, People i. Provide Leadership and Insight into Testing, by participating in efforts to share testing knowledge and expertise within the company ii. Manage the daily workload of testing and provide direction on test activities. iii. Manage the internal and external team of testers iv. Allocate and assign the right workload to the testing team v. Mentor and train the testing team on testing methodology (including test approach, test policy), tools, process and technique. As well as business knowledge (as required) vi. Provide guidance to the project resources on applicable use of the testing methodology. “Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements” |
