Functional Tester

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Functional Tester with a strong background in Cards domain (Credit, Debit, Prepaid, or Payment Cards). The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end functional testing of card-related applications and systems, ensuring compliance with business requirements, regulations, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents related to Cards systems

Prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases covering functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing

Execute manual functional tests across various modules such as:

Card Issuance & Activation

Authorization & Transaction Processing

Settlement & Reconciliation

Card Lifecycle Management (Renewal, Replacement, Closure)

Dispute Management and Chargebacks

Perform defect logging, tracking, and revalidation using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Bugzilla)

Validate interfaces with payment networks (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay, Amex)

Support SIT/UAT phases and coordinate with developers and business users

Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other security standards applicable to Cards processing

Prepare test summary reports and provide status updates to stakeholders

Must-Have Skills:
• Strong functional testing experience in Cards Domain (Credit/Debit/Prepaid/Commercial Cards)
• Hands-on experience creating and executing test cases
• Good understanding of card transaction lifecycle (acquiring, issuing, clearing, settlement)
• Familiarity with ISO 8583 messaging formats
• Knowledge of compliance and security considerations in Card processing
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
